Rich tasks
- These are problem solving open-ended questions that require students to investigate transformations. The tasks can be given at the start of a topic and done as the students gain enough knowledge to complete them, inserted into a topic at an appropriate place, or given as homework or extension.

- Draw simple enlargements on squared paper.
- Understand scale factor.
Transformations
- Know if a shape has been translated, reflected, rotated or enlarged to give an image.
- Recognise and explain how a pattern has been formed using translations, reflections, rotations and enlargement.
