Rich tasks
- These are problem solving open-ended questions that require students to investigate nets and views. The tasks can be given at the start of a topic and done as the students gain enough knowledge to complete them, inserted into a topic at an appropriate place, or given as homework or extension.

Nets
- Know that a net is a flat shape that folds to give a 3-D shape.
- Work out if a net will fold to make a cube or cuboid.
- Match nets and solids for some common 3-D shapes.
Building 3-D shapes
- Build simple 3-D shapes using materials.

Views
- Be able to draw solids from different view points.
- Be able to recognise and draw front, side and top views of simple shapes.
