Building a fraction wall
You could get students to build a fraction wall using fraction strips... Printable Masters - Fraction strips.
They could paste the fraction strips into their books OR they could make one for the classroom wall by starting with strips of paper 120 cm wide and then dividing them into halves, thirds, quarters, fifths, sixths, eighths, tenths and twelfths.
For example, to make twelfths divide the 120 cm strip into 10 cm lengths.
