Rich tasks

• This is an open-ended task that requires students to create a map which incorporates a range of elements such as landmarks, compass points and coordinates. The task can be given at the start of a topic and done as the students gain enough knowledge to complete them, inserted into a topic at an appropriate place, or given as homework.
