Number knowledge 11 – Fractions page 141

  • Know the meaning of each digit in a fraction and the associated vocabulary (numerator, denominator, fraction bar).
  • Know how a fraction can be said, represented and written as a number and in words.
  • Order unit fractions and fractions with the same denominator by size and recognise that when the numerator and the denominator are the same the fraction represents 1 whole.
  • Understand that improper fractions represent numbers greater than one.
